The State licensing fee includes the initial licensing fee of $112.00 and the fingerprint processing fee of $42.00. The State does require you to have both the Unarmed Class D Security Guard Training and the Armed Class G Security Guard Training in order to issue you a license to be an armed security officer. • Hi Jesse. No, sorry your Florida Concealed Carry Permit does not qualify you to work as either an Unarmed or Armed Security Guard in the State of Florida. You would be required to complete both the 40 hour Class D Unarmed Security Guard Training and the 28 Hour Class G Armed Security Guard Training sessions if you want to attain armed security officer licensing. There are a couple of exemptions from having to complete the 40 Hour Class D Unarmed Security Guard training, such as for Military Police, former Florida Law Enforcement and FL Corrections. You can always contact the Florida Division of Licensing to check if you qualify for any exemption from security guard training. Again, feel free to contact us directly at 855-232-4827 that’s 855-BE-A-GUARD and any of our Security Guard training agents will be glad to help you further.
